The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) has released a weather advisory warning of rain, thunderstorms, and strong winds across multiple districts in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, starting Tuesday evening and continuing intermittently through Saturday.

Affected areas include Chitral, Dir, Swat, Kohistan, Shangla, Battagram, Mansehra, Abbottabad, Haripur, Malakand, Buner, Bajaur, Mohmand, Khyber, Orakzai, Kurram, Waziristan, Peshawar, Charsadda, Nowshera, Swabi, Bannu, Karak, and Kohat.

Emergency Measures in Place
In light of the forecast, the PDMA has directed all district administrations to remain on high alert. Emergency response teams are being equipped with necessary light and heavy machinery to tackle any rain-related emergencies.

Public Safety Guidelines Issued
The PDMA has advised the public to avoid contact with exposed electric wires, weak structures, and large signboards during storms. Farmers are encouraged to revise their agricultural activities in accordance with the weather forecast.

Caution for Tourists and Residents in Northern Areas
In landslide and flood-prone regions, locals and tourists are urged to stay informed about the weather and follow safety precautions. Authorities will issue alerts in regional languages to ensure broader public awareness.

In case of road blockages due to flooding or landslides, relevant departments have been instructed to take swift action to clear routes and provide alternatives for commuters. Tourists planning visits to mountainous or recreational areas are advised to monitor weather and road conditions beforehand.
