WhatsApp is currently working on a new feature for its web version that will allow users to access all shared media and files from every chat in one unified location. Called the Chat Media Hub, this feature is under development and is expected to be included in an upcoming update.
The Chat Media Hub aims to streamline the way users manage their content by offering a centralized interface where all shared images, videos, GIFs, documents, and links from individual, group, and community chats will be accessible. This means users won’t have to dig through separate chats to find specific media.
The new hub will appear as a dedicated section in the web client’s sidebar. Users will be able to view shared content along with metadata such as the sender’s name and the date the file was shared.

Search and File Management Tools
To further enhance usability, WhatsApp is adding advanced search tools, including caption-based search and file-sorting options (such as by most recent, oldest, or file size). A multi-select feature will also be available, allowing users to download, forward, or delete multiple items at once. These additions aim to improve both content discovery and storage management.
Previously, WhatsApp was developing similar features for community group chats on its Android beta version. The web-based Chat Media Hub will expand these capabilities across all types of conversations, making it easier for users to locate and manage media.
Availability
As of now, the feature is still in the development stage and has not yet been rolled out to beta testers or the general public. While WhatsApp has not announced a specific release date, it has confirmed that the Chat Media Hub will be included in a future update of the web client.
