India has once again escalated tensions in the region by conducting military exercises illegally in occupied Jammu and Kashmir and in the border states of Gujarat, Rajasthan, and Punjab, which share borders with Pakistan.

These military drills are taking place along the Line of Control (LoC) in districts of occupied Kashmir and in Indian border states adjacent to Pakistan. The purpose of these exercises in all districts along the LoC in occupied Kashmir and the bordering Indian states is to increase regional tension and to cover up the failures and losses suffered during recent conflicts with Pakistan.

Previously, on May 7, India had conducted military exercises in 244 districts of border states and union territories. Meanwhile, on the night between May 6 and 7, India launched attacks named “Operation Sandor” on civilian areas across the LoC in Pakistan and Azad Kashmir. These military exercises involve testing air raid warning sirens and blackout procedures, civil defense training, and emergency evacuation drills.

Observers in occupied Kashmir have expressed serious concern over India’s warlike behavior, warning that these exercises aim to escalate tensions in the region. They stated that these drills are an attempt to hide the losses and failures suffered during Pakistan’s defensive response to Indian aggression on May 10.
