Dr. Mahira Abdul Ghani has made history by becoming the first Pakistani woman to earn a PhD in Materials Science and Metallurgy from the prestigious University of Cambridge.

Dr. Mahira began her academic journey in Pakistan with a degree in engineering. She later pursued advanced studies in Germany and France, where she was awarded the highly regarded Erasmus Mundus Scholarship by the European Union.

Her PhD research focused on 2D materials, offering innovative solutions to challenges in modern electronics. During her doctoral studies, she developed expertise in cutting-edge nanofabrication technologies, which are crucial for the development of next-generation electronic devices.
