The Punjab government has enforced Section 144 within a 15-kilometer radius of all airports and airbases across the province for a duration of 15 days.
Issued by the Punjab Home Department, the order prohibits fireworks, the use of drones and laser lights, and the dumping of animal waste in these areas from June 5 to June 20. These restrictions are aimed at preventing threats to flight operations and ensuring flight safety during the Eid-ul-Adha period.
A government spokesperson emphasized that the measures have been taken to protect human lives and property. The Punjab Home Secretary issued the order under Section 144(6) of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1898, making it effective across all airports in Punjab.
