The federal government has allocated Rs. 1.97 billion for the Pak-UK Education Gateway initiative under the Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) 2025-26, as per official documents.

The Pak-UK Education Gateway is a collaborative venture between Pakistan’s Higher Education Commission (HEC) and the British Council. The initiative aims to strengthen academic ties between universities in Pakistan and the United Kingdom by promoting joint degree programs, research collaborations, faculty development, and higher education policy reforms.

The funding announcement comes just ahead of the Federal Budget for the fiscal year 2025-26, which is set to be presented tomorrow.
