Frozen Foods, Snacks, and Beverages Set to Get Pricier in Budget 2025-26

The federal government is expected to introduce new excise duties on a variety of commonly consumed food items and services in the upcoming 2025-26 budget.

Additionally, a 5% excise duty is under consideration for frozen meat, sauces, and ready-to-eat meals. These measures are part of the broader fiscal strategy aimed at increasing revenue generation.
