Germany Announces Increased and Expedited Visa Processing for Pakistanis
The German Embassy in Islamabad has announced a major shift in its employment visa process, introducing a new Consular Services Portal for all future applications.
German Ambassador Alfred Grannas confirmed the update, stating that this transition is intended to speed up visa procedures and increase the number of approvals. As part of this change, all existing waiting lists for employment visas will be closed and deleted.
Applicants who have already been granted appointments under the previous system are advised to attend their scheduled sessions as planned. However, all new applicants must now use the digital.diplo.de/visa portal to submit their visa requests.

The updated process will be effective starting 16 June 2025, and the Embassy expects the digital transformation to lead to greater efficiency and faster processing times for those seeking employment opportunities in Germany.
Those previously on waiting lists but who did not receive appointment confirmations must reapply using the new system.
