According to APP, the pilgrim was rushed to East Arafat Hospital in a critical state, where doctors managed to stabilize him. Due to the severity of his condition, he was placed on a ventilator and later airlifted to King Abdullah Medical City in Makkah for specialized care.
There, a team of doctors performed a successful angioplasty to clear blocked arteries and implanted an Impella device, a mechanical heart-assist pump, to support his circulation.
Following intensive monitoring and treatment, the patient gradually recovered and was discharged on June 17, showing positive signs of improvement.
This extraordinary case underscores the crucial role of emergency medical services during the Hajj pilgrimage, especially in combating health complications arising from physical exertion and harsh weather conditions.
