Millions of Iranians took to the streets of Tehran early Saturday to participate in a massive funeral procession honoring top military commanders and nuclear scientists who lost their lives during the recent 12-day conflict between Israel and Iran.
Described as a “historic” turnout by local reporters, the event paid tribute to 60 individuals, including senior members of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and experts from Iran’s atomic energy sector. The procession symbolized a unified show of grief and national solidarity.

The ceremony commenced at 8:00 AM local time at Enghelab Square. Mourners gathered beneath banners highlighting the sacrifices of the deceased, as the procession made its way along an 11-kilometer route to Azadi Square.
