Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb Departs for Spain to Represent Pakistan at Global Development Finance Summit
Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue, Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb, departed from Islamabad today to attend the Fourth International Conference on Financing for Development (FFD4) in Seville, Spain, scheduled from July 1 to 3, 2025.
This major global forum will convene world leaders, policymakers, and development experts to explore innovative and sustainable financing strategies aimed at accelerating progress towards the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), especially for emerging and developing economies.
Representing Pakistan, Senator Aurangzeb will take part in the main sessions of the conference as well as several high-level side events. On July 1, he will co-chair the Multi-Stakeholder Roundtable on “Leveraging Private Business and Finance” and deliver a keynote address at the International Business Forum Policy Dialogue on “Accelerating EMDEs Investment: The Role of Credit Ratings.”

Join as a panelist in the session “Scaling Up SME Finance” during the International Business Forum’s side event, focusing on improving financial access for small and medium enterprises (SMEs).
Beyond conference activities, Senator Aurangzeb will hold bilateral meetings with key international figures, including John W.H. Denton AO, Secretary-General of the International Chamber of Commerce, and Steven Collet, Vice Minister for Development of the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
His participation in FFD4 reflects Pakistan’s strong commitment to global financial innovation, development cooperation, and advocating for inclusive growth in international economic forums.
