Since June 26, devastating rain-related hazards and flash floods have claimed the lives of 234 people across Pakistan, with 596 injured and 826 houses damaged, according to the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA). Additionally, 203 livestock perished due to the ongoing extreme weather conditions.
NDMA has led 62 rescue operations in the most vulnerable areas, successfully saving 450 people. To support those affected, the Authority has distributed 3,349 essential relief items and set up 27 relief and medical camps across the country.
Rescue and relief efforts are ongoing, with NDMA working closely with provincial and local governments to mitigate the crisis and provide timely assistance. The disaster has severely tested the nation’s resilience, but coordinated efforts are being maintained to support impacted communities.
