Internet users across Pakistan are facing significant slowdowns and service disruptions, as multiple Internet Service Providers (ISPs), including Nayatel and PTCL, confirm widespread connectivity issues affecting both international traffic and access to major digital services.
In an official communication, Nayatel’s Technical Assistance Center outlined several overlapping problems contributing to the nationwide slowdown:
1. Eastbound Internet Traffic Disruption
One of Nayatel’s upstream providers is experiencing technical difficulties, affecting eastbound international traffic. This has led to slower internet speeds and unstable connections for users accessing global websites and services.
2. Microsoft Services Outage
Popular applications such as Outlook, Microsoft Teams, and OneDrive are currently facing outages across Pakistan. Users have reported being unable to send emails, join virtual meetings, or access cloud storage.
3. Cloudflare Infrastructure Issues
Several websites and apps hosted through Cloudflare are also affected. These services are either loading slowly or are completely unreachable for many users, further compounding the disruption.

Nayatel emphasized that these are separate but overlapping issues, which has intensified the impact on users. Multiple other ISPs have reported similar complaints, suggesting that the problem extends across different networks and providers.
No Resolution Timeline Yet
Technical teams from the affected ISPs, Microsoft, and Cloudflare are currently working to identify and resolve the root causes. However, no official timeline has been shared regarding the full restoration of services.
As the disruptions continue, businesses, students, and remote workers are among those most impacted, raising concerns about service reliability and the need for resilient internet infrastructure in the country.
