Yango Ride, a division of the global Yango Group, has released its annual Lost & Found report for summer 2024–2025, offering a fascinating glimpse into the quirks of ride-hailing culture in Pakistan. The report showcases both the common and the unexpectedly bizarre items left behind by passengers — and recovered by drivers.

In Pakistan, mobile phones (31%), shopping bags (32%), and handbags (10%) topped the list of most commonly forgotten items. While these may not come as a surprise, some unusual entries in the list have raised both eyebrows and chuckles:

  • Baby milk bottle – Hopefully, not during feeding time

  • Bucket of fried chicken wings – A delicious loss, possibly not returned!

  • Drill machines – Tools on the go, or just unfinished home projects

  • Rubab (traditional musical instrument) – A melodious misplacement

  • Portable neck fans – Clearly, someone was beating the heat

  • Canister of cooking oil – A surprising forgetful act, given today’s prices

Despite the humorous nature of some of these forgotten items, Yango Ride emphasizes its strong commitment to reuniting users with their belongings. “Whether it’s a smartphone or a sentimental keepsake, we understand the urgency and importance of retrieval,” said Miral Sharif, Country Head of Yango Pakistan.

To streamline the recovery process, Yango has embedded smart features in its app that instantly notify passengers when a driver reports a lost item. Riders are then prompted to connect directly with the driver, ensuring efficient and transparent communication.

“This seamless process is a part of our broader mission to enhance customer experience through a combination of technology and human support,” Sharif added. “Our aim isn’t just to transport people, but to do so with empathy and excellence. These Lost & Found numbers may seem amusing, but they highlight our dedication to service quality and care.”

As the ride-hailing landscape in Pakistan continues to evolve, Yango Ride is setting itself apart by focusing on user-first innovations, reliability, and timely support—proving that even the small, forgotten things truly matter.
