The Punjab Education Department has announced that the SIS portal will reopen on August 10 for marriage-based teacher transfers, bringing relief to thousands of educators across the province.

According to the updated policy, only the wedlock transfer option will be available, simplifying the process for teachers seeking transfers due to marriage. Significantly, the policy now applies even if the spouse is not a government employee.
