PTCL Flash Fiber Tops Pakistan’s Broadband Rankings in H1 2025

After ranking the best mobile networks in Pakistan, Ookla’s Speedtest Connectivity Report has now revealed the top fixed broadband internet providers in the country, based on data collected from millions of users between January and June 2025.

Pakistan’s Best Broadband Internet


PTCL Flash Fiber claimed the top spot as the best fixed broadband provider in Pakistan with a score of 56.95. However, the competition was tight, with Transworld scoring 56.71 and Nayatel close behind at 56.31.

Cybernet and Connect Communications rounded off the top five, while non-fiber PTCL connections lagged significantly with a score of 41.59.

City-Wise Performance

  • Islamabad led with the fastest median fixed download speed at 20.36 Mbps.

  • Karachi followed in second place, with Rawalpindi ranked third.

  • On the slower side, Faisalabad recorded the lowest speeds at 13.77 Mbps, with Multan and Peshawar just ahead.

Across all six surveyed cities, PTCL Flash Fiber consistently outperformed its competitors.

Regional Performance


On a regional scale, Islamabad Capital Territory topped the list with a median download speed of 20.21 Mbps, followed by Sindh and Balochistan.

At the bottom, the Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) reported the weakest speeds at 5.31 Mbps, trailed by Azad Jammu and Kashmir and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Once again, PTCL Flash Fiber led the way as the fastest broadband provider across four regions.
