Google has expanded its AI-powered conversational editing tool in Google Photos, originally exclusive to the Pixel 10 series, to eligible Android devices. This innovative feature allows users to edit photos simply by describing changes through voice or text, making professional-grade photo editing more accessible.

Eligible users will notice a “Help me edit” button in the Photos editor. By tapping it, they can request changes such as background adjustments, object removal or addition, lighting corrections, and composition refinements. Google’s Gemini AI processes the requests and applies the edits instantly.

The tool supports natural conversational commands, meaning users can refine results step by step without restarting the edit. Additionally, Google Photos provides suggested edits, like “make it better,” which users can accept and further customize with instructions such as “reduce saturation” or “soften shadows.” All edits are non-destructive, as the app saves a new version while keeping the original intact.

Currently, the feature is limited to US users and only supports English (US). Its availability depends on device capability and updated versions of Google Photos and Gemini. Global rollout is expected in the near future, opening the door for millions of Android users to experience AI-driven photo editing.
