Overview of the Private Hajj Scheme 2026
The Government of Pakistan has launched the Private Hajj Scheme 2026 to allocate a significant portion of the Hajj pilgrimage quota to private tour operators. This scheme ensures that pilgrims who missed out on performing Hajj in 2025 get priority, while also opening new seats for fresh applicants this year.
Under the Hajj Policy 2026, Pakistan’s total Hajj quota has been divided between the government and private schemes. The private sector now has 60,000 seats available for pilgrims through authorized private Hajj operators.
Quota Allocation and Reserved Seats
Out of the 60,000 private seats:
- 22,097 seats are reserved for pilgrims who were selected in 2025 but could not perform Hajj due to quota shortfalls.
- 37,903 seats are open for new applicants interested in performing Hajj in 2026.
This priority system ensures fairness by giving precedence to those who had registered last year but missed their opportunity. Private Hajj operators are required to first secure bookings for the leftover pilgrims before registering new ones.
Application Process
To apply under the Private Hajj Scheme 2026, pilgrims must:
- Register through an authorized private Hajj operator.
- Submit copies of CNIC and passport along with recent passport-size photographs.
- Pay the first installment, typically 50 percent of the total Hajj package cost.
- Receive an official registration number and confirmation from the operator.
Pilgrims should ensure that their documentation is complete and that payments are made through approved banking channels to avoid delays or disqualification.
Booking Deadline and Extensions
The Federal Ministry for Religious Affairs extended the booking deadline for the Private Hajj Scheme to allow more pilgrims to secure their places. This extension helps ensure that all private scheme seats are filled and that leftover applicants are accommodated as intended.
Costs and Package Options
Private Hajj packages vary widely in cost, depending on services included:
- Basic Packages: Offer essential facilities with standard transport and accommodation.
- Premium Packages: Include higher-quality hotel stays, direct transportation options, and enhanced services.
Prospective pilgrims are advised to choose a package that fits their budget and needs, avoiding luxury options that might place financial strain on families.

Why the Priority System Matters
The priority seating system for leftover pilgrims makes the 2026 scheme more transparent and equitable. Those who were left out in 2025 due to limited quotas now have a dedicated allocation, reducing repeated disappointments and increasing the chances of fulfilling their religious obligations.
Looking Ahead
With registration ongoing and private operators working to complete bookings, the 2026 Hajj season could see broader participation from Pakistani pilgrims. This improved structure in the private scheme aims to ensure that more people get the opportunity to perform the pilgrimage through fair quotas and organized processes.
