Three-time champions Islamabad United have completed a major squad move ahead of the upcoming Pakistan Super League (PSL) 11, finalizing a two-for-one player trade with Multan Sultans. The move comes as franchises continue to reshape their squads before the new season begins.

Under the agreement, Islamabad United have acquired fast bowler Salman Mirza and batter Nisar Ahmed, while right-arm pacer Mohammad Wasim Jr. has been transferred to Multan Sultans. The deal is among the most notable player exchanges during the PSL 11 transfer window.

Mohammad Wasim Jr. is considered a valuable addition to Multan Sultans’ pace attack, bringing experience and pace to their bowling lineup. Meanwhile, Islamabad United gain two players in return, aiming to improve squad depth and overall team balance for the upcoming tournament.

The Pakistan Super League recently opened a transfer window, allowing teams to negotiate player trades and adjust their squads while remaining within league regulations. These changes provide franchises an opportunity to strengthen key areas before the competition begins.

The upcoming PSL 11 season is expected to run from March 26 to May 3, with all six teams preparing intensely to build competitive squads. Both Islamabad United and Multan Sultans hope this trade will give them an advantage as they target a strong campaign in the new PSL season.
