A 26-year-old Pakistani entrepreneur, Sualeh Asif, has joined the ranks of the world’s youngest billionaires after the rapid rise of his AI startup Cursor.
Originally from Karachi, Asif co-founded Cursor alongside fellow MIT graduates, building an AI-powered coding platform that has quickly gained global recognition. The startup, developed under the company Anysphere, has seen explosive growth in recent years, reaching a valuation of around $29.3 billion and generating over $1 billion in annual recurring revenue.
Cursor is designed as an advanced AI-assisted development environment that allows programmers to write, edit, and debug code using natural language prompts. The tool has become a key player in the emerging trend of “vibe coding,” where artificial intelligence simplifies complex software development tasks.
