In a tragic incident, 7-year-old Irtza, the son of Lieutenant Colonel Zaheer, was martyred during unprovoked shelling by Indian forces along the Line of Control (LoC) in Azad Jammu and Kashmir during the night between May 6 and 7.

Indian troops launched cross-border attacks targeting civilian areas, in blatant violation of ceasefire agreements. Among the victims was young Irtza, whose death has sparked nationwide grief and outrage in Pakistan.

This act of aggression—deliberately targeting non-combatants, including children—has been condemned as barbaric and inhumane, violating international humanitarian norms. The Pakistani military has pledged a strong and fitting response to avenge the loss of innocent lives.
