I want to make Pakistan a hub for semiconductor manufacturing by attracting Chinese technology companies.
The former federal minister for science and technology in Pakistan was also a signatory to many Memoranda of Understandings and agreements about semiconductors technology and also collaborated with China on training Pakistanis to use semiconductors.
“We are also interested in starting semiconductor design operations in Pakistan.”.

Furthermore, Fawad said that both countries could cooperate in a wide range of science and technology areas.
As well, he stated that mobile phones are already being assembled in Pakistan but they would like to take it one step further and start full-scale mobile phone manufacturing in Pakistan.
As a result of the prime minister’s China visit, many Chinese technology companies will come to Pakistan bringing value to local manufacturing products because semiconductors are a core component of all technologies.

During his visit, the prime minister met with representatives of China’s leading technology companies, and the two sides agreed to deepen cooperation in the fields of software development, Internet and communications technology, medical diagnostics, and other fields.
