On the first of March, MediaTek ended up launching the latest Dimensity 8000 series chipsets, following which an executive down at the company claimed that the mobile processor market was no longer a monopoly.

This of course then is an obvious reference to the MediaTek Dimensity 9000 – which of course had been announced late in last year and has also recently been subject to outperforming Qualcomm’s flagship 8 Gen 1 in some of the benchmark tests that have been carried out.

The executive also proceeded on to emphasize the fact that high end flagship processors are no longer one and the same, as he pointed towards the Dimensity 8000 series, which happens to cater the high end market and also the Dimensity 9000, which has seen its entry in the flagship market for the very first time.

The Dimensity 8100 makes its way with the aid of the same design that the Dimensity 9000 came with, however, it does not actually feature with the top end performance that you would imagine it does. The aim that exists is then to allow the high end market consumers to enjoy a flagship experience across various different scenarios, such as gaming, imaging, display and also communication.

The executive has been reported to have said : “The first terminal product of the Dimensity 9000 should have been officially released. It is MediaTek’s goal to stand firm as the flagship. We will continue to work hard to launch better flagship and high end products.”

The Dimensity 8100 features with the aid of an octa core unit, four of which are cortex A-78 cores clocking in at 2.85Ghz, and as far as the case for the Dimensity 8000 is concerned, the same cores happen to max out at 2.75Ghz.
