New reports state that the Korean tech giant had formed a team in 2022 in order to commercialize microLED displays for smartwatches, according to the report.

The company is currently working on high-end TVs with microLED displays, which have been a great success so far. In other words, making a commercially available smartwatch solution is not a huge task for the company. MicroLED panels are brighter and more energy-efficient than OLEDs, offering better sunlight legibility.
Due to the company’s commercialization of high-end TVs with micailalble ROLED technology, smartwatches will have access to this technology in a shorter time. Industry experts who know what the company plans have also revealed that such watches will be launched this year.
