It has been confirmed by MediaTek that a number of new technologies and innovations are going to be announced at the upcoming MWC 2023 event that will be held later this month in Barcelona, Spain. A major conference with the company’s next-generation tech and new chips will be the focus of the company’s major conference. Listed below are some of the things you can expect in the coming months.
New MediaTek Dimensity Series
Among the various new announcements that will be made at the event, Dimensity series of 5G enabled mobile chips will likely be one of the highlights of the event. Next generation smartphones and tablets are going to run on these chips and will have a host of benefits when compared to their predecessors in many aspects. It is likely that these improvements will include an improvement in connectivity, multimedia, image processing, artificial intelligence, and so on.
It is expected that during the MWC 2023, the Dimensity 9200 SoC will be the new high-end chipset from the company that will be used on flagship grade handsets from the company. The company will also unveil the new Dimensity 7000 series of chips at the MWC event in addition to this. In addition to this, the Dimensity 7200 SoC would be included as a part of the lineup to power more affordable mid range devices. Outside of new Dimensity chips, the brand will be revealing the new Helio G36 SoC for mass market gaming phones as well.

Connectivity & Home Products
Aside from the various new chips that the company will be announcing, the company will also be announcing new Filogic chips that will improve the connectivity of a wide range of products, including mesh routers, smart TVs, streaming devices, smartphones, tablets, laptops, and more. As part of the company’s participation in the MWC event, the company will also showcase a new portfolio of products that feature Wi-Fi 7 standards, as well as the older, but still capable 6E and 6 standards that are also included.
As part of the new Genio platform, in addition to the chipsets that power various smart home products and Internet of Things devices, there will be a variety of high performance, mid range, and budget chipsets. A smart home appliance is an example of this kind of technology, as well as a smart television. On the other hand, the Kompanio chipset is going to deliver good battery life and high performance for Chromebooks across a wide range of price points as well.
Other Technologies
A demonstration of the new 5G mmWave beam technology developed by MediaTek and Ericsson will also take place at the event. There will also be an announcement that Keysight 5G Network Emulation Solutions will be providing 5G UltraSave for mmWave with the announcement. This new technology focuses on enhancing the design of hardware and software of devices that are using 5G networks, resulting also in extending the battery life of those devices. As part of the Barcelona event that will be held between February 27 and March 2, a number of new technologies will also be introduced.
