China’s Newest High-Speed Train Breaks World Record, Surpassing 600 KM/H.
China has announced a groundbreaking achievement in the realm of high-speed transportation with its maglev hyperloop train, dubbed the T-Flight, setting a new world speed record during a recent test run. Clocking in at an impressive 387 mph (623 km/h), the train has surpassed previous records and is poised to revolutionize travel.
Developed by the state-owned China Aerospace Science and Industry Corporation (CASIC), the T-Flight aims to push the boundaries of speed, with plans to develop a train more than three times faster, even breaking the sound barrier and outpacing conventional airplanes.

The test was conducted on a specially constructed track approximately 2 kilometers in length, housed within a low-pressure vacuum tube to minimize friction. CASIC ensured the track’s smoothness, boasting a flatness tolerance of 0.01 inches (0.3 millimeters), ensuring minimal deviations along the surface. Moreover, the 20-foot-wide (6-meter) tunnel boasts an impressive geometric precision, with a margin of error against a perfect shape of less than 0.1 inch (2 mm). Remarkably, the entire pipeline can revert to normal pressure in just five minutes.
In the next phase of testing, CASIC plans to extend the track to 37 miles (60 km), enabling the T-Flight to achieve speeds of up to 621 mph (1,000 km/h). At such velocities, the maglev train will surpass the cruising speeds of conventional passenger jets, marking a significant leap forward in high-speed transportation technology.
