In December 2023, iQOO unveiled the iQOO Neo 9 smartphones in China. These devices were powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 and Dimensity 9300 chipsets, respectively. In February 2024, a version of the standard model made its way to India and other markets under the name iQOO Neo 9 Pro. Now, there’s speculation that the Neo 9 Pro might be rebranded as the iQOO Neo 9S Pro for global markets.
A screenshot has emerged from the Google Play Console’s database showcasing the iQOO Neo 9S Pro, identified by the model number V2339A. Interestingly, this model number matches that of the Neo 9 Pro available in China. This suggests that the same device could be rebranded for global markets.
According to the Play Console listing, the iQOO Neo 9S Pro will be available in a blue color variant and will feature the Dimensity 9300 chipset. Its OLED panel boasts a 1.5K resolution of 1260 x 2800 pixels. The device will run on Android 14 and will pack 12 GB of RAM. On the back, there’s a 50-megapixel primary camera.
The presence of the Neo 9S Pro on the Play Console hints that its global debut might not be far off. It’s likely that the device will be announced either this month or in May.
