Anticipated Weather Conditions in Lahore and Punjab: Rains and Winds Expected
The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) forecasts intermittent rains and gusty winds in Lahore and parts of Punjab from Friday night through Sunday. Continental air dominates most areas, with a shallow westerly wave affecting upper regions.
Under these atmospheric conditions, gusty winds accompanied by isolated rain-thunderstorms are anticipated in various districts, including Murree, Galyat, Chakwal, Rawalpindi, Attock, Jhelum, Gujrat, Gujranwala, Narowal, Sialkot, Lahore, Kasur, Sheikhupura, Nankana Sahib, Faisalabad, Mandi Bahauddin, and Bahawalnagar. Southern districts may experience extremely hot weather with gusty winds, while elsewhere in the province, hot conditions will prevail.

In Lahore, maximum temperatures are projected to range between 44-46°C on Saturday and 43-45°C on Sunday.
Recent observations indicate heatwaves across Lahore and Punjab’s plains. Noorpur Thal, Bahawalnagar, and Bhakkar reported the highest temperatures in the province, reaching 47°C. Additionally, Dera Ghazi Khan, Khanpur, Mandi Bahauddin, Kasur, and Okara recorded maximum temperatures of 46°C.
In Lahore, the maximum temperature reached 45°C, with relative humidity measured at 16 percent during the evening.
