Two new legal cases have been filed against Imran Khan, the founder of PTI and former Prime Minister, in connection with the protests that took place on September 28. This development marks a significant escalation in the legal challenges he faces.

The cases, lodged under Section 7 of the Anti-Terrorism Act (ATA), also include Ali Amin Gandapur, the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, as a co-accused. The allegations assert that Khan incited party members to rally against national institutions, issuing calls for protests from Adiala Jail.

The complaints were registered at the New Town and Civil Lines police stations and include charges related to attempted murder, terrorism, and violations of Section 144, which prohibits public gatherings. Additionally, the cases allege criticism of Punjab government institutions, as well as charges of vandalism, arson, and stone pelting, intensifying the legal scrutiny surrounding Khan and his political associates.
