Pakistan’s cricket star Babar Azam has announced his resignation from the white-ball captaincy following a series of disappointing results for the national team.

Babar took to social media to share his decision, highlighting the significant responsibility of leadership that has negatively impacted his batting performance.

In his message to fans, he stated,

“I’m sharing some news with you today. I have decided to resign as captain of the Pakistan men’s cricket team, effective as of my notification to the PCB and Team Management last month. It’s been an honor to lead this team, but it’s time for me to step down and focus on my game.”

The prolific batter has faced challenges with his form over the past year, not performing up to his usual standards.
