iPhone SE 4 Announcement Expected Next Week
Apple is reportedly preparing to unveil the highly anticipated iPhone SE 4, with Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman predicting an announcement next week. While he initially suggested a launch this week, his latest update indicates a slight delay.
According to Gurman, Apple plans multiple announcements over the coming days. A smaller announcement is expected today, followed by an Apple Vision Pro update on Friday. Additionally, a new MacBook Air featuring the M4 chip is expected in the coming weeks.

Interestingly, there is no mention of a dedicated launch event for the iPhone SE 4, suggesting that Apple may introduce it via a press release, similar to previous SE models. Given its position as Apple’s most affordable smartphone, this method may make sense, though some argue it deserves a bigger spotlight.
iPhone SE 4: Expected Features and Design
Apple is expected to design the iPhone SE 4 based on the iPhone 14, featuring a 6.06-inch FHD+ LTPS OLED display with a 60Hz refresh rate. Unlike previous SE models, the front will include a notch for Face ID, replacing Touch ID and the traditional home button.
Key expected features include:
- Single rear camera, possibly from the iPhone 16 series
- Water resistance
- A18 chip for improved performance
- 8GB of RAM to enable Apple Intelligence features
Pricing and Market Competition
Reports suggest that Apple will price the iPhone SE 4 at $499, a $70 increase compared to the iPhone SE (2022). This pricing places it in direct competition with Google’s upcoming Pixel 9a, making it a strong contender in the mid-range smartphone market.
With an official announcement expected next week, Apple’s budget-friendly iPhone is set to offer modern features, better performance, and an updated design at a competitive price.
