Since the beginning of 2025, authorities at Lahore Airport have removed 3,171 passengers from flights due to fake, suspicious, or incomplete travel documents.
FIA Intensifies Crackdown on Human Smuggling
The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Lahore Zone has ramped up its efforts against human smugglers, leading to:
- The arrest of 10 individuals attempting to travel with forged documents
- The detention of 35 individuals involved in begging activities
All suspects have been handed over to the Anti-Human Trafficking Circle Lahore for further investigation.
FIA Foils Escape of 12 High-Profile Fugitives
In a separate operation, FIA Lahore successfully stopped 12 fugitives wanted by Punjab Police for serious crimes from escaping the country.

FIA Lahore Zone Director Sarfaraz Khan Virk emphasized that passenger travel records are being closely monitored as part of the agency’s zero-tolerance approach towards human trafficking and illegal travel.
