Vivo is gearing up to unveil its next-generation S-series smartphones in May in China, following the launch of the Vivo S20 and S20 Pro in December 2024. Contrary to expectations, the new lineup will be named the Vivo S30 series rather than S21. According to reports, the series will include a standard model and a compact version, the latter potentially marketed as the Vivo S30 Pro Mini.
A recent leak from reliable tipster Digital Chat Station on Weibo has revealed key specifications for the rumored S30 Pro Mini. The compact model is expected to serve as a more affordable alternative to the Vivo X200 Pro Mini, which launched last year with a starting price of 4,699 Yuan (~$645).
The S30 Pro Mini is said to feature a 6.31-inch flat LTPO OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a 1.5K resolution (2640 x 1216 pixels), offering a high-end viewing experience in a compact form.

Powering the device will be the upcoming Dimensity 9400e chipset, which is expected to be a rebranded version of the Dimensity 9300 Plus. The smartphone will pack a large battery with support for 90W fast charging, ensuring quick top-ups.
Camera specifications include a 50MP front camera for selfies and video calls, while the rear setup will feature a 50MP main sensor accompanied by a 50MP telephoto lens.
The standard Vivo S30 is also expected to launch alongside the Pro Mini. It will reportedly feature a larger 6.67-inch OLED display with a similar 1.5K resolution and be powered by the yet-to-be-released Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset.
Both devices are expected to make their debut in May 2025, offering a compelling mix of performance, design, and photography in the mid-to-premium segment.
