Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif arrived in Quetta on Saturday to participate in a high-level jirga aimed at tackling critical security, political, and social issues in Balochistan — Pakistan’s most sparsely populated and underdeveloped province.
The jirga brought together a broad array of stakeholders, including senior military officials, federal ministers, Balochistan Governor Malik Abdul Wali Kakar, Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti, provincial ministers, and members of the Balochistan Assembly. Tribal elders and representatives from various political parties across the province were also in attendance.
