U.S. President Donald Trump is reportedly growing more inclined to use American military force against Iranian nuclear facilities, showing less interest in a diplomatic resolution to Iran’s escalating conflict with Israel, according to two officials cited by CNN.

Although Trump remains open to diplomacy if Iran offers significant concessions, his current stance signals a major shift in approach.

In a national address, Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei declared that Iran will not surrender and warned that any U.S. military action would lead to “irreparable damage.” Trump responded by labeling Khamenei an “easy target” and asserted that America’s “patience is wearing thin,” calling for Iran’s “unconditional surrender.”

Ellie Geranmayeh, a senior policy fellow at the European Council on Foreign Relations, warned that a strike on Iran could open a “Pandora’s box” and dominate Trump’s presidency. She added that while Trump has previously avoided war, Iran would likely interpret a military strike as a declaration of war, triggering unpredictable consequences.
