In a disturbing incident of cross-border deception, three young men from Sahiwal — Usman Amin, Muhammad Ahmed, and Tajammul Shehzad — have reportedly been kidnapped in Thailand after falling victim to an alleged “honey trap” orchestrated by Indian women. The group, which also included a friend from Faisalabad, had been in communication with the women before traveling to Thailand on May 26, 2025.
According to the families, the women sent airline tickets and maintained consistent contact throughout the journey. However, after arriving in Thailand, the men were kidnapped and reportedly taken to an area near the Myanmar border. The abductors later contacted the families, demanding a ransom of Rs. 10 million for the victims’ release.

The case has raised concerns about a larger human trafficking operation, with families claiming that unidentified individuals at Lahore Airport facilitated the men’s departure. These claims hint at a potentially organized criminal network extending across borders.
Families of the victims have expressed frustration over the inaction of the Pakistani Embassy in Thailand, accusing officials of ignoring repeated calls for help. In their appeal to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the families have requested immediate intervention to ensure the safe recovery of their sons.
