While upload speeds showed only slight variation across networks, download speeds differed significantly—Zong’s speed was over 10 Mbps faster than Ufone’s.

Survey Methodology

PTA conducted the survey across 13 major cities: Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Lahore, Faisalabad, Multan, Sialkot, Gujranwala, Peshawar, Karachi, Hyderabad, Sukkur, Quetta, and Muzaffarabad.

Using specialized mobile drive test tools installed in vehicles, the authority collected over 44,000 voice calls and more than 117,000 data sessions to assess real-world network performance based on internet speeds, latency, and signal strength.

This quarterly survey is part of PTA’s ongoing efforts to improve mobile service standards and transparency for consumers.
