The Kasur district administration has announced a local holiday on Saturday, August 23, in observance of the 268th annual Urs of the revered Sufi poet, Hazrat Baba Bulleh Shah (RA).
As per the official notification, all government offices, educational institutions, and other local departments in the district will remain closed on that day.
The three-day Urs celebrations will commence on August 22 and continue through August 24. Devotees from across the country are expected to participate in the spiritual events, which will feature Quran recitations, Sufi poetry, and various traditional rituals honoring the life and teachings of Baba Bulleh Shah.

This annual Urs is considered one of the most important spiritual and cultural events in Punjab, attracting large crowds to Kasur each year to pay tribute to the legendary Sufi figure.
