04/12 Update: pictures of Apple’s brand new Dual USB-C charger have been leaked by accessory expert ChargerLAB and show an intriguing design. According to ChargerLAB says: “It adopts foldable prongs as well as, unlike other chargers two USB-C ports are placed side each other.”
ChargerLAB is correct in my opinion. As far as I am aware, this concept is the first of its kind in the market. The ports on most Dual USB-C-powered chargers are set vertically, which makes managing the chord more challenging in certain situations, especially when using large cables. The charger features two dimples, making it more comfortable to hold — a unique feature in this market. In the end, this is an iconic Apple and is a late entry into the market but offering distinctive design.
In addition the charger is quite compact — definitely much smaller than the most dual USB-C GaN chargers, and possibly smaller than Anker’s Nano Pro (though that delivers 40W). In comparison to Apple’s current 30W monster, this is at a different level.
