Apple strengthened its position in the global smartphone chipset market during the third quarter of 2025, driven by strong shipments of its A19 and A19 Pro processors. The increased volume of these chipsets, used in the iPhone 17 lineup, helped the company grow its overall market share and gain ground on competitors.
Despite Apple’s gains, MediaTek maintained its lead in the global chipset market, holding the largest share for the quarter. Apple followed in second place, while other players such as Qualcomm, UNISOC, and Samsung accounted for smaller portions of the market.

The rise in A19 and A19 Pro shipments was supported by sustained demand for Apple’s latest smartphones, prompting higher production levels. Apple’s approach of using multiple chip variants across its premium devices has contributed to broader market penetration.
Meanwhile, some rival chipset manufacturers experienced a decline in market share during the same period, reflecting increased competition and shifting demand patterns. Industry analysts suggest that Apple’s momentum could continue into 2026 if sales of its upcoming devices remain strong.
