ATV Shuts Down as SRBC Begins Court-Ordered Liquidation
ATV’s operating company, the Shalimar Recording & Company Limited (SRBC)—a government-owned entity—has formally announced the termination of services for all its employees as part of the court-directed liquidation process initiated by the Islamabad High Court.
All Staff to Be Released by November 30
In an official order issued on 24 November 2025, SRBC confirmed that all categories of employees will be relieved of their duties by the close of business on 30 November 2025.
The decision affects:

Regular staff

Contractual employees
-
Deputation workers
-
Temporary and daily-wage workers
-
Broadcast resource personnel
-
Employees holding officiating or additional charge

Staff currently on leave
Mandatory Handovers and Clearance Requirements
Employees are required to complete the following by 28 November:

Submit a written work-status and task-completion report

Hand over official files, documents, login credentials, passwords, assets, media devices, and operational materials

Complete functional handovers to designated focal persons in administration, finance, engineering, technical, and station management departments
Staff must also submit clearance acknowledgments, updated contact details, CNIC copies, and bank information to the Administration Office.

Financial Dues to Be Settled Per Court Guidelines
According to the notice, all outstanding financial dues—including gratuity (where applicable), leave encashment, pending salary differences, and other claims—will be calculated under SRBC service rules and relevant laws. Payments will be made subject to the availability of liquidation funds and in accordance with priorities approved by the Islamabad High Court.
Liquidation Only—Not Disciplinary Action
SRBC clarified that the termination of services is purely due to the liquidation order and does not constitute disciplinary action or punitive termination.
The directive was signed by Muhammad Atif Saeed on behalf of Khilji Rahat Waheed, Chartered Accountants, acting as the official liquidators.
Copies of the notice have been shared with the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, PTVC, PBC, PNCA, and posted on the SRBC notice board.
