The list contains 506,671 names of such individuals. According to the ITGO, the mobile SIMs linked to these individuals will remain blocked until either restored by the FBR or by the respective Commissioner Inland Revenue having jurisdiction over the individual. The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) and all telecom operators have been instructed to immediately comply with this ITGO.

The FBR emphasized in a post that individuals should promptly fulfill their tax obligations by submitting accurate declarations and filing their income tax returns for Tax Year 2023. Doing so will enable them to have their mobile phone services restored in accordance with the ITGO. Telecom operators are required to submit a compliance report to the FBR by May 15, 2024.
