FIA Arrests Two for Uploading Fabricated Images and Videos of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz

The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has detained two individuals, Ahmed Hassan and Murtaza Khan, on charges of circulating falsified images and videos of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz on social media platforms. The arrests were made after a formal complaint was filed by a resident of Mozang, Lahore.

The FIA’s Cyber Crime Wing, which is handling the case, reported that the suspects were actively involved in distributing misleading visual content intended to incite public unrest. The agency emphasized that the fabricated material was designed to manipulate public perception and provoke disorder. An investigation is currently underway to further probe the illegal activities of the accused.
