Finance Ministry Cancels Eid Holidays for Key Budget Staff

The Ministry of Finance has cancelled Eid-ul-Azha holidays for key staff involved in finalizing the federal budget for the fiscal year 2025–26. Employees working directly on budget preparations have been directed to remain on duty during the Eid break—specifically on June 6, 8, and 9.

Additionally, the Ministry has instructed all other staff members to stay near their phones throughout the holidays to ensure seamless communication and coordination.

A post-budget press conference is scheduled for June 11, during which the Finance Ministry and other government officials will discuss the newly approved budget laws. These laws are set to be passed in both houses of parliament a day prior to the briefing.
