It is no secret that OnePlus held a major launch event yesterday in which it unveiled multiple products, including its 11th flagship smartphone, which was the first of its kind in the world. As part of its introduction of the OnePlus Pad tablet, the company also announced that as of Q3 of this year, foldable phones are on their way.

There are rumours that the foldable phones will be named the OnePlus V Fold and OnePlus V Flip, which have already been trademarked by the Chinese Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA) as potential names for the phones.

However, it is important to note that the rendering provided by GizChina is just speculative and should not be interpreted as a design that has been confirmed. OnePlus just unveiled a new purple color variant of their foldable OnePlus 11 that looks nearly identical to the image below.

There is a strong possibility that the V Fold and V Flip will look like the Find N2 and Find N2 Flip as a result of the close collaboration between Oppo and OnePlus. Consequently, this implies that there is an even greater likelihood that the global foldable market will become even more exciting in the next few years, as Honor and Oppo are both planning to introduce their first global devices at the same time.

A tipster in the industry has reported on the trademark filing and stated that these smartphones are undergoing testing in multiple regions, including Europe as well as the United States. In order to emulate Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold and Z Flip foldable and flip phones, OnePlus seems to be planning to produce a device similar to the two products.

As a result, Samsung will finally have more competition to deal with in the market, forcing all companies to improve their products more aggressively and maintain competitive pricing in order to gain the favor of end users like ourselves.

On the other hand, it remains to be seen whether the OnePlus V Fold or V Flip will ever make its way to the global market.
