Gold Prices in Pakistan Rise Modestly Following International Market Rebound

The price of gold in Pakistan experienced an increase of Rs. 1,000 per tola on Friday, reversing the previous day’s decline of Rs. 2,300 per tola.

According to the Karachi Sarafa Association, the price of 24-carat gold rose by Rs. 1,000 per tola, reaching Rs. 251,500. The price of 10 grams of gold also increased by Rs. 858, now standing at Rs. 215,621.

On the international market, spot gold saw an uptick of 0.3 percent, rising to $2,370.5 per ounce by 1110 GMT. Despite this increase, international gold prices have decreased by 4.5 percent since their record high of $2,483.60 on July 17.

Locally, the price of gold hit an all-time high of Rs. 254,000 per tola last week, with an increase of Rs. 4,600 per tola.
