There has been some uncertainty this year regarding whether September 6 would be recognized as a public holiday. The Federal Cabinet Division did not initially list it as a public holiday in its notification, leading to speculation. Although there are rumors that the government has issued a notification declaring September 6 as a holiday, there has been no official confirmation yet.

Earlier in the year, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif officially declared May 28 as a holiday to observe Youm-e-Takbeer. Additionally, Pakistan will observe a public holiday for Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH) on the 12th of Rabiul Awwal, with the exact date to be confirmed following the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee’s moon sighting for Rabi-ul-Awwal.
