Following a scorching Sunday where temperatures soared to 37.6°C alongside 70% humidity, Karachi is now bracing for a full week of extreme heat. The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast that hot and humid weather will persist, intensifying further by Thursday and Friday, when daytime temperatures are expected to exceed 40°C.
Humidity levels will remain high, significantly increasing the “feels-like” temperature and elevating the risk of heat-related illnesses. The PMD has strongly advised residents to stay indoors during peak hours, stay hydrated, and avoid unnecessary exposure to the sun.
