The holiday on the first day of Muharram is subject to the sighting of the moon, as stated in the notification. It further specified that all government offices, educational institutions, and businesses will be closed on that day. The determination of the start of Muharram al-Haram will be based on the sighting of the moon, which will be observed by the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee. This committee, headed by Maulana Muhammad Abdul Khabir, is scheduled to convene on July 6.

Following the central committee’s observation, zonal committees will hold subsequent meetings at their respective headquarters to assist in confirming the moon sighting.
This decision ensures that the holiday will be confirmed based on the official sighting of the moon by the relevant committees.
