Climbing Mount Everest Now Costs $15,000 Per Person
Authorities have announced a significant rise in the fee for climbing Mount Everest, the world’s tallest peak. The cost for mountaineers attempting to reach the 8,849-meter summit will now be as high as $15,000 per person.
Situated on the border between China and Nepal, Everest attracts climbers from across the globe, including several notable Pakistanis who have achieved extraordinary milestones on its slopes.
In May 2023, Pakistani mountaineer Sajid Sadpara made history by summiting Mount Everest without supplemental oxygen or the assistance of Sherpas. He became the first Pakistani to achieve this remarkable feat, fulfilling the dream of his late father, legendary climber Mohammad Ali Sadpara.

Another remarkable achievement came from Naila Kiani, who became the first non-Nepalese woman to scale Mount Everest during the 2023 season. She is the second Pakistani woman to reach the summit, following Samina Baig, who made the milestone in 2013.
Mount Everest continues to inspire climbers worldwide, with the rise in fees expected to help in the preservation and management of the iconic peak for future generations.
